Sugarlumps
posted by Toms on 09 September 2012
Big surprise from the United Kingdom where Sundown 2012 took place this week-end! Joined by Mr.Lou for the music, Doz/ CRTC & 3LN released an intro called Sugarlumps which won the oldskool competition! Very promising as it's his first demo on CPC and the effects are quite original for our platform. Actually, some CPC sceners already met Doz at Revision, so we can probably expect another prod by him!Sugarlumps
Revival'n Impact Coop
posted by Hicks on 31 August 2012
Oriented news: If you want to see, in less than 15 minutes, a sumptuous intro graph (probably designed by a 8 years old disabled child), some (too short) plasma sequences, the famous "foreground bobs", a nice Sid player, 14.7 Hz transitions and an original tune by Shap (extracted from his 90's disks), then run, run, and download the last Revival/Impact coproduction!

Neutral news: Impact and Revival just released a new Amstrad Plus demo named Revival'n Impact Coop. The two parts are coded by AST and F-Key, with the help of CeD for the graphics, and musics by Shap (original) and Tao (Seagulls). You can download it here and react on the Impact and CPCRulez forums, because they don't read Push'n'Pop.

I see... a bunch of demomakers sleeping peacefully... waiting each week for the next week to start their part for the 30 years Megademo... What?! Oh excuse me, it was just a nightmare!

Be happy, be proud, here is an update of the public announcement of the 30 year Megademo, including the main technical rules, the official list of the challengers, and the evil deadlines. You can ask your questions in the dedicated forum thread. 10 months remaining before the parts-deadline, move your body!

Tonight was an historical moment at Assembly 2012 for the CPC scene. Indeed, for the first time an Amstrad demo won at the Scene.org awards! Batman Forever by Batman Group got 3 awards in the "Best technical achievement", "Best demo on an oldskool platform" and "Public choice" categories. It is the most rewarded 2011 demo after Numb Res by CNCD & Fairlight (which won 4 awards). Congratulations to the whole team!Batman Forever won 3 Scene.org Awards
ReSeT #8 report
posted by voxfreax on 03 July 2012
People say that the ‘murderer’ returns to the crime scene twice... I have to confess that the previous proverb is somehow true, since the ‘murderer’ (in this case it’s me - Voxfreax) returned for the second time to the ‘crime scene’, which is nothing else than the famous ReSeT party, held in the beautiful city of Coutances (France), from the 22nd until the 24th of June of 2012.

Super Edge Grinder
posted by Toms on 25 June 2012
While the R-type contest was running at ReSeT, another shoot'em up was released during the party: Super Edge Grinder! It's an enhanced version of the one released last year. The game coded by Axelay features new graphics (intro screen, control panel, ship and ennemies, etc.) by rexbeng (you again!) and some reworked tunes by Tom&Jerry / GPA (one extra tune has been added for the boss). It's really worth to try it!Super Edge Grinder
