Back at home after 5 days of pre-party, party, and post-party.
I've now to write the report in order to relate you all the story from begining 'til the end. Be ready :)

Hello to all! After some extreme CPC partying at Revision, I'm trying to gather my pieces and get back to normal life! I am really happy that I took the decision and traveled to Saarbrucken and showed that CPC is still rising!

I have to thank all the French guys being there, as they really helped me to feel very welcome and comfortable with them! So, a big 'thank you' to Beb, Eliot, Grim, Hicks, Krusty, Offset, Toms and Zik. Also, big thanks to Factor6 and Exin (who was once again drawing ponies for the ANSI compo:)

It's been a great experience, and even thought I was a bit disappointed with the (biased) voting by the people there, I am sure that the best are ahead! A lot of people showed a great interest for our little blue-screen machine, so (most possibly) there will be even more people getting familiar with it. The attendance in Krusty's seminar (full classroom!!!) is the greatest prize for all of us!

Batman Group wrote Amstrad Begins! We hope that we helped Amstrad to rise even higher!

Thank you everyone for one of the greatest experiences of my life and all the rest for their support!
Voxfrrrrreax (right Toms and Grimmy? :)

@Voxfreax: Police didn't arrested you at the airport with your strange trash bag? :)
Greece rexbeng - 10 April 2012 - 20:57:31 132 posts
@Vox: good job on the demo :)

Oh, and, I just read through the messages at the end. Dude, I'm not trying to help anyone. I'm only biatching because it's fun *^_^* :PPP

@Hicks: German security control is crazy :) They made me take off my shoes and they searched me with this beeping machine. Then, they took me to another place and checked the 'beast' I had in the trash bag in a special area, where a guy was doing some strange stuff with some even stranger tape-sticks! I am proud for this - not only c64 scene is 'afraid' of the rising CPC sceners, but also the German airport security :)

@Rex: I thought that you will write 'I am bitching because I am a bitch' :)
And thank you for your words man - they really mean a lot to me! (especially when said from a person who is usually bitching) :D

It's notorious that Greeks are not well viewed these days in Germania.
If you want to pass the custom, you should only have Schneider branded CPCs... this may help.
Greece rexbeng - 11 April 2012 - 10:40:44 132 posts
He should have shaved :P
France Beb - 11 April 2012 - 12:06:22 168 posts
@VoxFreax: What happened to the "dead babies" who were in the trash bag ?
Greece voxfreax - 11 April 2012 - 12:20:05 223 posts
@Rex: I haven't shaved for almost 8 years now, except the one year I was in the army! Not gonna change myself for anyone!

@Beb: They arrived in perfect condition to my place ;) Check my previous post for more details regarding the airport security check procedure man :)

Greeks and their pilosity fetish...
No wonder Demis Roussos is a national glory there.
Greece rexbeng - 11 April 2012 - 13:55:22 132 posts
It has to do with the philosopher's DNA inside us Greeks. We think a lot, and what better is there to scratching the hair on your chin while at it? =D

Well, ok, some northener-er-ers scratch their balls for the same reason, but eeewww ^_^
Greece voxfreax - 11 April 2012 - 14:23:56 223 posts
@MacDeath: When you talk about my beard, please show some respect! No words like pilosity are allowed; only beard! :)

@rexbeng: Couldn't write it better :)

Live captures of Wake Up! (you'll see that boobs is better appreciated than code) and Stop that nyan cat!

Ah, another things.
Special thanks to Grim for the music player of the 4K.
Without this player, the 4K would not have a such amount of the effects.
Now, you can all harass him to release it ;)

I'm really sorry guys, not actually meeting you all is quite embarrassing on my part :D On the last day I had to leave earlier than I thought...

Anyway, congratulations to everyone involved in the CPC productions for the success, nice job! I will watch the demo in more detail as soon as I get the time. Also another thanks to Krusty for the help with the music, much appreciated.

OMG, Exin what are you doing with this puzzle for little girls ?!

MLP:FIM (My Little Pony : Friendship is Magic) has a huge following with grown adult men.
but don't get caught watching it, it's more embarrassing than being caught faping on porn.

Complete results with the number of point of each production. Wake Up! was far from the second place (more than 300 points), but Stop that Nyan Cat! was more closer (40 points)...
France MacDeath - 13 April 2012 - 09:35:34 179 posts
just a question...
When you get into such sort of event, I can see you CPC guys are close to each other, do you connect your CPC together ? (network)
or do it the old way (sneakerware : sharing disks)
France Toms - 13 April 2012 - 10:20:35 272 posts
After-party pages are online on the Revision website with results, stats, releases, photos, reports and videos... We can learn that "Stop that Nyan Cat!" was second for a short time :)

Thanks to Beb, that's what we could see on the LULI's banner at the party place. Fame!

MacDeath: there is a VirtualNet network at parties like Reset, usually. But it's used mainly to play Shoulder Dash and LAP. No filesharing.

The CPCBooster could be used as well, but we have no driver for that (use the RS485 port, also needs some special wiring).
